Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur ‎(Edna)‎ Ward, 86, of Wequetonsing will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Harbor Springs. Rev. Philip Brown will officiate and burial will be in Lakeview cemetery.

Mrs. Ward died Sunday, March 7, on arrival at Lockwood-MacDonald Hospital.

She was born Edna Blackman on April 27, 1890 in Emmet County.

She was married to Arthur Ward on Oct. 24, 1909 and the couple have always made their home in Wequetonsing.

Mrs. Ward was a member of the United Methodist Church and was very active in church affairs. She was a member of the Women's Relief Corps.

Survivors include her widower; two sons, Oren Ward of Harbor Springs and Lewis Ward of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. William ‎(Effie)‎ Corey of Harbor Springs; Mrs. Robert ‎(Mary)‎ Cook of Charlevoix and Mrs. Ann Ellwanger of Harbor Springs; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alice Jackson of California.
